Following the footsteps and under the flagship of PEACE CLUB of St.Joseph Senior Secondary School has organised a Field visit at GANDHI SAMARAK, Sector 16 CHANDIGARH in order to remember the secrets of our father of the nation SHRI MOHANDAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI . They were remembered with his great ideologies like equality for all and to consider each and every individual equal apart from their caste creed , religion race. In order to denote active love the pole opposite of violence i.e non violence which is absence of overt violence was promoted among the students .And his cardinal principles of truth was emphasized as he believed that relative truth of truthfulness in word and deeds and the absolute truth -the ultimate reality.And the ultimate truth is only GOD and MORALITY. His renowned movement SATYAGRAHA to get India free from the atrocities of Britishers it was an exercise of the purest soul force against all injustice, exploitation, oppressions it is a method of securing rights by personal suffering and not inflicting injury on others.And the history of Satyagraha can be found in Upanishads and in the teachings of Lord Buddha Mahavira and a number of other greats including Tolstoy and Ruskin.The concept of Swadeshi was told to them and the origin of this ”SWA” means self and “desh”means country . Swadeshi is the focus on acting within and from one’s own ,both politically and economically.
Gandhian ideologies shaped the creation of institutions and practices where the voice and perspective of everyone can be articulated ,tested and transformed.The students were motivated and Infused with the works of Mahatma Gandhi And they felt like delving into the personality like him.The students shared their own stories where they applied the principles of GANDHI JI.
Mahatma Gandhi is Followed by million’s ,for that he proved that one can become a great soul during the course of one’s life, and one should possess the STRONG WILL to do so.
Director,Mr.Paramdeep Grewal emphasised on the importance of GANDHIAN principles and encouraged them to employ it in their day to day life.
