Santa’s bell jingled in St. Josephs School

The month of December brings a lot of warmth, hope, and glad tidings. To spread the message of love and good cheer, the children and teachers of St. Joseph’s Sr. Secondary School, Chandigarh, presented a spectacular show in the school on the occasion of the world’s most loved and celebrated festival, Christmas.

The jingling of bells and the impeccably adorable decorations at every corner of the school indicated the onset of Christmas. A plethora of activities were presented by the students during the special celebrations at school. The nativity scene, which is synonymous with Christmas, was enacted, wherein a vibrant choir group sang various carols relating to the events of the birth of Christ. The children in their bright and elaborate costumes were a delight to watch.

A special guest performance by the students of Kids-R-Kids school was the star attraction of the day. They sang carols and songs, enthralling everyone with the melodies of rapture and festive spirit that sounded as though angels had truly descended on earth.

The grand entrance of our most beloved Santa Claus, complete with his bell, moving to the beat, was a visual feast for all. The Jingle Bells song done with a jig got the entire audience singing along. The programme concluded with the Western Dance, which was fun and lively. The shimmering props added more beauty to the little ones. The dancers danced to the mellifluous tunes of the festive songs and filled the air with ecstasy.

Sharing their joys, members of the school management and principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, eulogised the efforts of the students and teachers. Ma’am stressed displaying the virtue of gratitude in life. She also elaborated on the importance of humility and contentment in leading a righteous life. The children carried home the message of sharing and caring as well as the pleasure and pride of spreading peace, true to the spirit of the celebration.
