Each year St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector-44 D, Chandigarh, with an aim to build a sense of camaraderie, facilitates a common platform to celebrate the talents of students.
This year also much awaited ‘Annual Function-Vibrant Exuberanza’ that has been characterized by exhilarating performances and captivating dances that has become the trademark of St. Joseph’s over the past many years was executed impeccably by the team efforts of the students and teachers of Primary-2 under the dynamic leadership of the school Principal Ms. Monica Chawla.
The function was graced by the honourable chief guest Dr. Shveta Arora, a renowned educationalist and Regional Officer, CBSE Chandigarh along with the other dignitaries of the city. The revered Principal Ms. Monica Chawla along with all the venerable coordinators of the school accorded a warm traditional welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest.
Josephites exhibited their talents through a mélange of vibrant acts. The event was a showcase of all the talent, they had honed and built on during the school year. With music, dance and drama, the students their proud parents the entire spectrum of entertainment and set the stage ablaze with the vibrant and colorful performances. The various dance performances with its lively music, colorful costumes, and effervescent dancers left the parents feeling buoyant and satisfied. The cheery gestures and robust rhythms left the audience asking for more.
The programme began with the rendition of Saraswati Vandana followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest and the Principal. The exquisite decorations were absolutely magnificent and a sight to behold. It was followed by articulated allocution by the Principal, Mrs. Monica Chawla welcoming the galaxy of luminaries and enumerating the achievements of Josephites through Annual Report which apprised the parents about the significant happenings in school during the academic year.
The honourable orations of the Chief Guest were appreciative, motivational and urged the parents to help their children’s dreams come true. She appreciated the leadership and the vision of the management. In her motivational address she complimented the school for providing a forum to showcase the students’ talents, remove stage fear, build self confidence, and teach teamwork. She was highly impressed by the growth of the school and conveyed her best wishes for all the future endeavours.
The cultural fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating the festive mood. “Hope lies in dreams and the people who dare to make the dreams into reality” this was beautifully portrayed through the acting ensemble leaving asking for more. The Chinese Dance with rhythmic body movements combined with soulful music and the Chinese dragon was a treat to watch.
Multicultural amalgamation of traditional music and dance with unique beats and expression aroused the patriotic passions depicting the resilient human spirit. The Invincible Goal Chasers ignited the stage with their spectacular performance. With their robust rhythms, they got the audience to jive along. The Cowboy Dance was a spontaneous adaption of traditional moves expressed happiness and joys of life. A beautiful depiction of today’s empowered women by graceful dancers to the tune of “Jeete Hain Chal” was the highlight of the day. The vibrant and colourful Kathputali Dance left the spectator spellbound with their magnificent formations and graceful dance moves. The parents were euphoric to see their young ones performing on the stage. Western Dance troupe set the stage on fire with their perfect blend of rhythm and synchronization. It was a indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervor. The sparkling event culminated amidst the encomiums and encores of the audiences.
The members of the management and the Principal were exhilarated to see the beautiful blend of various art forms and were mesmerized by the graceful dance performances of the students. They appreciated the efforts put in by the students and the staff and were grateful to the parents for their support and cooperation.
