Keeping the theme of “World Paper Bag Day”, young Josephites of Primary-1 participated in Paper Bag Decoration Competition at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School to promote the awareness of sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives among students from the very core years of their lives about the environment and sustainable living.

 The Paper Bag Decoration Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. It served as a platform for students to exhibit their talent while also highlighting the importance of sustainable alternatives to single-use plastic bags. With the school’s commitment to fostering environmental consciousness, the competition aligns with its initiatives to create a greener and more sustainable future.

Each bag was adorned with intricate drawings, vibrant colours, and thoughtful messages advocating for eco-friendly practices. Students used old newspapers and magazines to create paper bag. They then added colours and designed those artistically using dried leaves, paper flowers, ribbons etc. The event successfully accomplished its goal of spreading awareness and instilling a sense of responsibility towards the environment in the hearts of the students.

St. Joseph Sr. Sec. School intends to continue organizing such events to nurture creativity, foster a sense of environmental stewardship, and inspire young minds to become active participants in preserving our planet. Our Coordinator, Ms. Shelza Arora also lettered with pride to adapt the 3R approach in everyday life for a cleaner and greener nature for the posterity.
