St. Jospeph’s takes pride in its rich and varied collaborative programs with promising outcomes. The exchange programme with Nepal Schools proved to be another crowning accomplishment for the school.
The programme showcased an impeccable example of teamwork wherein the various partner schools came together through an online platform with an intent to endorse SDG -5 which promotes the rights and dignity of girls and mark the International Girl Child Day. The noteworthy day saw the coming together of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School along with Government Model Sr. Sec. School, Dhanas; Shree Gyan Bagaicha English Boarding School, Nepal; Noble Academy Secondary School, Nepal; Green Fields School, Dehradun, under the flagship of Yuvsatta. One of the major agendas of the programme was to make Girls Right Education an integral part of the curriculum. The programme began with Ms. Seema Rani welcoming everyone for the momentous coming together for a noble cause. She highlighted the need to ensure access to quality education for girls, enabling them to develop essential skills and knowledge.
The schools then took turns to share motivating speeches, songs and poems infusing the atmosphere with spirit of unity and solidarity for one single goal of girls’ empowerment. Quoting women of substance and sharing narratives of various iconic women, the girls exhibited their enthusiasm and positive affirmation to put relentless efforts to raise awareness about women’s rights and issues. The students also took turns to share various activities like marathon, cyclothon, rallies and candle march undertaken for fostering a more inclusive and equitable society for women.
Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated everyone for the impactful and productive session, that would enable to make a paradigm shift in creating an atmosphere where girls can thrive without discrimination. She asserted that with little help on our part we can ensure that every vulnerable soul can be transformed into a valuable soul. Voices of applaud and affirmation resonated as ma’am called out girls as an acronym of resourceful leaders. The session ended with a beautiful poem recited by honourable Principal ma’am which was woven to elaborate the strengths and the assets of the wonderful and multifaceted women of infinite worth. The present dignitaries and students took a pledge to stand for women empowerment by becoming the champions of their rights.
