“Safety is not a choice, it is a shared responsibility we practice every day.”
Demonstrating a strong commitment to student safety and preparedness, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec.School successfully conducted a comprehensive disaster management mock drill on 18th April ,2026 under the visionary leadership of Principal Ms. Monica Chawla, who has consistently taken proactive initiatives to ensure a secure learning environment.
The drill was meticulously planned and executed by the Disaster Management Committee with the objective of equipping students and staff with practical knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during emergencies. Prior awareness sessions were conducted to familiarize everyone with safety protocols and evacuation procedures.
During the simulation, an emergency alarm signaled the commencement of the drill, prompting an immediate and orderly evacuation. Students and staff moved swiftly through designated exit routes under the vigilant supervision of trained personnel. The Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) were strategically stationed at all exit points, ensuring smooth movement, preventing bottlenecks, and maintaining discipline throughout the process.
The school premises were divided into clearly marked assembly areas to facilitate systematic gathering and headcount. Students assembled at their respective zones, including the Play Group Area, Skating Court, Lawn Tennis Court, and other open grounds, where class teachers promptly accounted for every student, ensuring complete safety and accuracy.
The exercise concluded with a constructive review session, where key observations were discussed and valuable feedback was shared to further enhance preparedness in future drills.
Such initiatives, led to reaffirm the school’s unwavering dedication towards fostering a culture of safety, discipline, and responsibility among its learners.
