Independence Day
St. Joseph’s family commemorated India’s independence from British rule by celebrating its 74 Independence Day but with a slight twist. Owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic this day was celebrated virtually with never ending zest and zeal. Virtual Participation by students was phenomenal .Around 200 students participated in different activities conducted on line.
Students of grade l and ll participated in Flag making competition (with pulses)
The same were later on shared in class groups .school mail box was flooded with entries of poetry recitation solgan writing to mark respect for the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for motherland. Many students participated in fancy dress and dance competition by sending their video’s and expressing their take on true meaning of independence. Senior students made collage depicting freedom struggle. The aim behind making the collage wad to celebrate uniqueness and richness of Indian culture.
Winners of these competitions were also awarded cash prizes. Teachers motivated the students to keep this spirits high in this tough time.
Teachers enlightened the students by updating them about endless resistance of leaders against the foreign powers to give us freedom that we enjoy today. Teachers added that we can proudly say that our country has made great progress in these years be it education, defence, technology or sports. Teachers assured that road ahead is full of development and prosperity.
