Exposing children to natural experiences early in childhood is the correct time to help them inculcate the habit of love and care towards the environment. In today’s scenario where heavy traffic and pollution are a matter of great concern, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School provides all avenues to its students to help them open their eyes to the wonders of nature and work in this sphere to upgrade the slowly degrading natural environment.
Naksh Verma, a star pupil of the school, has proved this by winning the Silver Medal in the National Talent Search Examination on Environmental Education conducted by the Indian Council for Environmental Education (ICEE). His achievement in this reputed exam reflects that St. Joseph’s School is front runner in the efforts to protect, conserve and improve the Mother Earth.
The School Management and Principal of the school, Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated him on his brilliant achievement. She appreciated his sincere efforts and felicitated him with a cash prize of ₹2500/- to encourage him to continue with his good work. She said that Naksh’s achievement has added another laurel to the institution and will motivate other students to connect with the nature and cherish the growth of plants and trees around them.
