As rightly said by Muhammad Ali, “The man who has no imagination has no wings.” We must have our feet on the ground in order to have a strong foundation. But we should never put a limit on our dreams. Throughout history, people have created marvelous things by using their imagination. We should definitely read books, reading is the mark of a curious mind. But we should use that knowledge to nurture our imagination. Because it is imagination that fuels our spirit and urges us to chase an innate vision. Knowledge helps us play by the rules, imagination helps us break through them and human creativity is what drives us forward as a species. Creativity is this unique ability to harness our thoughts and ideas that has been responsible for some of the world’s greatest inventions.
To encourage the students furnish their imagination and creativity, team Raman House of Middle Block, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh, took an endeavour by conducting an activity for budding artists to exhibit their exemplary imaginative and creative skills. Students were asked to create an imaginary conversation between a tree and a human in the form of a poster or a self composed poem or a video of role play. It was heart warming to see how the children understood the importance of trees on earth for the survival of humanity and the dire necessity to conserve them.
Elated students enthusiastically took part in the activities and winners were rewarded. Their efforts were recognized and lauded by the teachers and the Principal, Ms Monica Chawla, who strongly believes giving back to the nature.
