To make the students aware about the environment, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School conducted an Educational Trip to Sukhna Lake for its Secondary Block students. The students were given valuable information about migratory birds e.g. White Eyed Pochard, Tufted Duck and Graylag goose that visit Sukhna Lake every year. They were curious to have glimpses of those beautiful visitors.l (Migratory Birds). The Students were told about their habitats and the migratory journey. The youngsters attended a programme on cleanliness where the officials from Chandigarh. Sanitation Department  interacted with the students and updated about the importance of cleanliness. The children were fascinated by ‘Chandigarh – The City of Peace’- the symbol which stands tall at the lake. They were also given information about Sukhna Lake water Regulator Dam. An enjoyable trip in the outdoors away from the classrooms for once.
