 JOSEPHIANS REIGN SUPREME AT STATE LEVEL

Josephians have once again proved their mettle by outshining all others in the various competitions organized this year by the TFT, Theatre for Theatre which is Asias’s Longest Theatre Festival. Having already tasted success after winning the First Prize for the Nukkad Natak, the students went on to bag awards in every other category as well, be it the  Creative Writing, Painting, Rangoli Making or the Best out of Waste Competitions. The gritty Josephians pulled out all the stops, going on to win accolades and appreciation for their untiring efforts.
Principal Ms. Monica Chawla was warmly welcomed and specially invited to participate in the Lighting of the Lamp at the Prize Distribution ceremony to acknowledge and appreciate her constant endeavours in motivating and inspiring her students to excel in their chosen fields. She was also bestowed with the prestigious ‘Award of Honour’ for mentoring and heading such a dynamic group of talented students. Along with it, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh was also awarded as the overall winner, having bagged the maximum awards.

The winners of the Competitions were as follow:

Loveleen of class VI and Harleen of class VIII bagged the First and Second Positions respectively in the Rangoli Making Competition Adding a splash of colour to their palette of success, Ayachi and Ruchika  won the Second and Third Prize respectively in the class 6-8 category  while Paridhi stood second and Chahat came Third in the class 3-5 Category of the Painting Competition.
 Ayush and Divjot of class VIII showcased their innovative skills in the Best Out of Waste Category and were awarded the Third Position for their artistic as well as handy creation.
The Creative Writing Team created a storm of awards by winning all the prizes in this category. The First Position was bagged by Yashika Singh, the Second Position was shared by Kirti Mittal and Manvi Bansal while Gunjan Sabharwal gained the Third Position.

Principal Ms. Chawla was overwhelmed with the showers of praise and applause that the Josephian team received and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of Theatre for Theatre for providing such an excellent platform for children to perform. She also thanked the parents and facilitators at St. Joseph’s who have acted as staunch pillars of support in every effort to bring forth the inherent talent in every Josephian.
