A Champion in the Making

Navjot Singh of St. Joseph’s Sen. Sec. School, Chandigarh once again made the school and city proud by winning gold medals in the Short Put and the Discus Throw Category at the Chandigarh Sub Junior and Junior State Athletics Championship (2022-23). The winning champion added a feather in the crown of the school with his glorious accomplishment. Navjot Singh has now qualified for participating in the 33rd North Zone Junior Athletics Championship (2022-23) to be held in Karnal, Haryana from September 02-04, 2022.
The young and the aspiring athlete shared how he has been able to pursue his dreams with motivation and constant support from the school as well as the family. He also shared that in the end it is one’s ability to work relentlessly and find innovative ways to improve the game that bear fruit. Donning the gold medals and with joyous tears in his eyes, Navjot shared his exhilarating and elated moment with everyone.
The Director and Principal congratulated the promising sportsperson for his commendable accomplishment and wished him luck for all of his future endeavours. She urged the students to keep the passion for perfection kindled and continue participating and winning laurels.
